Entrepreneurs Under 30
Keeping with the theme of my blog, I decided to look up the founders with some of the companies I know of. I was excited to find out that some of the most well known startups/websites are led by young and driven people. Some of these people you probably know of already, while some, probably not. Here’s a list:
- Sam Altman, 22 – Loopt
- Rob Calin, 28 – Etsy
- Garrett Camp, 29 – StumbleUpon, acquired by eBay for $75 million.
- Drew Houston, 25 – Dropbox
- Richard Jones, 26 – last.fm
- Matt Mullenweg, 24 – Wordpress
- Aaron Patzer, 27 – Mint
- Jia Shen 28, RockYou
- Bret Taylor, 27 and Jim Norris, 26 – FriendFeed
- Sam Tarantino, 21, and Josh Greenberg, 21 – Grooveshark
- David Uevitch, 26 – OpenDNS
- Mark Zuckerberg, 24 – Facebook (I know, he shouldn’t be on the list)
I didn’t really look through the YCombinator list, but most of them are probably in their twenty’s. If you know a few more, comment me.
