I sound like I’m from 2004, but start a blog! Loren Feldman, who usually goofs on Silicon Valley, makes an excellent speech why you should start a blog. In the world of social networks, blogs are the decentralized form of them. Be passionate about what you write and people will discover you. Even if no one visits your site, at least you’ll get practice writing.

Hey - it worked in this case! I just discovered your blog. Jason, I'd like to connect with you when I move back out to the Bay Area. half of your friends are robots and the other half is scoble. ahhhhhaha

anyway, this guy makes me feel really guilty for shamelessly advertising myself all the time but at the same time, he makes me feel pretty legit for being a blogger since...jr high.
