Facebook Evolution
Happy birthday, Facebook! I’ve been an user and fan since its 2004 founding year. It was also the year I entered UC Berkeley as a freshman. Now that I think of it, part of my college experience has basically been defined by Facebook. I was talking about this to my friend the other day, and we can’t really imagine what college would be like without Facebook. It’s been a total of 5 years and as you can see in retrospect, a lot of changes have been made. When I joined, there were about 15 or so college networks. Now they have more than 150 million active users. Amazing.

Facebook started in 2005 and its now in top 3 sites of the world competing with Google.com. Facebook has changed the trend of social media and social networking after Orkut. Although Google invested a lot in Orkut but it wasn't successful. Facebook will now face competition from Google Buzz. Thanks

Yes I remember back in 05 when I had a friend in berkeley too who hooked me up with a facebook account, I used to think I was slick like the only person in the UK with a Facebook account.

Now I'm sure my grans got one?!? lol

Well Facebook is now in top 3 sites of the world, that's surprising, even Google sometimes laying behind Facebook. I hope it will remain on 1st position for the next whole year. Thanks

Well Facebook has completed 6 years successfully and its in top 3 sites of the world by Alexa, drastic performance by Facebook. Well Social Media emerged in the previous decade and its growing day by day.

Kudos to Zuckerberg, he's created a monster so to speak. (In a good way.)

I do think the next 5 years will define the company though, obviously folks are starting to focus on the money side of the business and ways it can generate revenue.
